(NewsRadio 570 WKBN) - Nearly 100 homes in Lisbon were impacted by downburst-winds from severe thunderstorms; 69 homes had just minor exterior damage, but six homes have major damage including one that will need to be taken down. County EMA Director Luke Newbold says they're still assembling a damage estimate. Nearly all the power has been restored from the storm.

The county EMA in a news release says volunteers are picking up wood debris curbside; they ask that you place only wood at the curb, keeping branches facing the same way.

Also, HMS Recycling on Industrial Park Road is accepting wood, bricks, shingles building materials and even linoleum debris. They're open M-F 8am to 4:30 and Saturdays 8am til 11:30.
