Bachelorette Season 10 runner-up Nick Viall received some media backlash when he confronted Andi Dorfman on the special two-hour episode, After the Final Rose, and said, “If you weren’t in love with me, I’m just not sure why you made love with me.”
After dropping the bombshell on national television, the 33-year-old explains to On Air With Ryan Seacrest why he called Andi out on their intimate relationship in public.
“I was as surprised as anyone that I said it,” he explained. “But it’s something that was weighing on me from the time it ended, and I think I was a little taken back by her demeanor. She felt a little cold, she knew how I felt about her, so it was hurtful.”
The season concluded when Andi, a former district attorney, accepted Josh Murray‘s marriage proposal. The 27-year-old took to Twitter to share a photo of her oval-cut ring with the caption, “In love with this ring but more in love with the man who gave it to me!”
The all new spin-off series Bachelor in Paradise, which recruits former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants and sends them off to Mexico for a second shot at love, premieres on Monday, August 4 at 8/7c on ABC.
